Calender for asian titles and tournaments
I was wondering whether there is some sort of calender showing when all the major Japanese, Chinese and Korean titles as well as international tournaments are held, so one might easily find out which matches are going to be played in say the next week or so. I googled around a bit, and searched the sites of the AGA, BGA and EGF, but didn't find what I was looking for. Do any of you know whether such a thing exists? Also, if it doesn't, and we would create one ourselves here at L19, what would be the best format to do so?

Re: Calender for asian titles and tournaments
I know of no calendar, but senseis.xmp.net/?GoNews has upcoming events. It has been somewhat comprehensive for some time.
I think many tournaments vary in when they held each year. The Japanese titles have really inconsistent scheduling, and it seems like you can't do much better than say the title match will happen "in the fall". I'm not 100% sure about that, so perhaps someone will correct me.

There used to be a google calendar maintained pretty well, but it's fallen into disuse. It was nice to have up.

You could try to scrape Kin's news site; there the upcoming schedules are mostly pre-entered in the tables.
A good system naturally covers all corner cases without further effort.

Re: Calender for asian titles and tournaments
Thank you all for the links. I can't read hangul unfortunately, but the small calender on 361points is pretty nifty. I was indeed thinking of perhaps starting some sort of google calender where we could all add dates (and perhaps even links to reports and sgf's as the games are played). Is this something you would like to particpate in? It seems like a lot of work for a single individual, but something that the community as a whole could easily do, and benefit from as well. Who's in?

I believe goprocalendar@gmail.com is an active professional title calendar. I think the person in charge would appreciate help, though I can't remember who it was.

Yeah, I made that. I updated it last night for November and December from what I could find around the internet.
