Stone Buddha vs [fill in preferred Sedol nickname here]

Post by sixko »

Does Lee Sedol have a nickname? I've not heard any used for him in anything I've read on him including his Sensei's page and a search here. Seems improbable that a go superstar like Sedol would not have had a nickname stick by this point, so I'm assuming I've just not run across it yet?

The cheerful smile (seen here) shows up in many of the photo's of him, and he does seem to have a rather sunny disposition generally. Something coupling this and his chaotic playing style would probably be a perfect fit!

When he was younger and just started to make a name for himself, he went under the nickname "Invincible youth".

Huh, interesting. Thanks for filling me in. Strong Stone??? Sounds like maybe people are possibly waiting for further developments of/in his return before updating the man's nickname. Maybe we can toss some around here just for fun? How about Smiling Buddha :D

Hey sports fans???

Oh well. Strong Stone it is. Probably its a cultural thing, but to me this sounds more like something you'd here in an Octavio Paz poem then anything you'd use to describe Sedol. Letting it go now
