Finally Got A Desktop Computer

I'll just say up front that trying to play Go with a Laptop doesn't work too well. I made so many misclicks, it was almost funny. I remember this one game I was playing was actually going pretty good until the laptop fudged and I had around four to five straight misclicks... Talk about frustrating!

However, I've finally gotten a desktop computer set up. I've lacked one for around a month or so now, and so that limited my Go playing because I hated playing on the laptop.

But I'm back! And I'm back with all the furious energy an awesome 12k like me can muster! Prepare to be felled by my knights of terror.

Okay, that was kind of lame, but it is good to be able to play with a regular mouse again. :salute:

You couldn't plug a regular mouse into your laptop? I play every day on a laptop but don't use the touchpad.

Compatible mouse? What kind of computer today needs a special mouse? Any USB mouse should work...

I think someone just wanted a new computer ;)

I didn't have a compatible mouse for my laptop so I got a desktop? That's kinda funny :razz:

I agree, desktop computers are much better than laptops, apart from surfing the net in bed. They don't do that too well.

That's the thing, I don't have a USB mouse. :P I'm still using the old mouse.

(cost of USB mouse) < (cost of new computer)

Or: PS/2 to USB Adapter - $4.

Of course, if you just want a new computer, there is no problem with getting one :). Congrats.

Its completely criminal to make a thread bragging about your new computer and not posting the specs. Rectify please :D

Well, if I knew, I'd tell you.
I do know it's outdated. It was free. My last one crashed. And I'd been stuck with a Laptop this whole time. It also had severe overheating issues, keyboard issues, ect. So maybe this will help explain the necessity of a new computer. :P

But it is really slow, I know that much. But it's fast enough to do most of what I like to do on it (i.e. Go, Yahoo!) so I'm not going to complain.

Although the sound card doesn't work so if I want to listen to my music, I have to run the laptop until I get a sound card.
