Korean pro moving to Stockholm, Sweden

Post by mohsart »

Most Swedes know this already, but maybe it will be of interest for others, visitng Sweden...
Ko Juyeon, Korean 8p (IIRC 2p before she moved to Hungary) will relocate to Stockholm in a few days.
She will attend the local club and all or most Swedish tournaments, possibly most tournaments in neighboring countries, and give private lectures etc.

So, if planning a visit to Sweden, it may be worth checking if there are any tournaments coming up, and for people visiting Stockholm we play at Thursdays from 18:00 and Sundays from 13:00, see http://stockholm.goforbundet.se/home/english/ for directions.

Lucky strong local players :-)

How do they choose which country to go?

She will not play tournaments, "only" give lectures etc.
As to why she chose Stockholm, I guess some local players charmed her when she visited the Leksand tournament and then spent a couple of days in Stockholm...

We are indeed very lucky :-)

I also understood from the post she would participate in the tournaments.

It would be quite strange to see her playing tournaments. Does anyone know what about the KBC now? Two teachers now, or someone else is coming?
