Hi there,

I missed an introduction. Whoops. :)

I first learned go around 1976, played a bit but had no-one to play with so dropped it mostly. Then I moved and lost my go set and didn't play at all for 20 years. I took it up again a couple of months ago.

I'm English, from London originally, and live near family in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. I'm pretty much retired from work these days, so can mess around a bit. Heh.

Hey, glad to hear of a go player in Newcastle - I'm not far away, in Durham. There is a pretty active and very welcoming go club here if you feel like a game - feel free to PM me if you're interested :) (I'm not all that much involved, having only discovered the game last year, but I can certainly introduce you to the other members :))

Thanks everyone for the welcome. :)

Durham's a bit far to travel on a regular basis, Robinz. Thanks for the offer, though. Maybe I'll make it a nice day out in the summer.
