i agree with capping play. i wanted to add that sometimes you can't afford to spend time with usual moves but sometimes you omit urgent move and you are... in troubles, but you are probably also right in this and white can tenuki
i think that such handicap has to be outfought anyway, so it doesn't greatly matter where will the battle take place
if not cap on the top, then F3 kakari?

I like this play. The main reason is that I do not like Magicwand's next play at "a" if I make a simple response on the left side. I play high because if I play low it is easy for White to reduce any Black territory on the top side. I do not play closer to avoid a counter-pincer. And this play attacks the
stones to some extent.
The Adkins Principle:At some point, doesn't thinking have to go on?

I played chinese 5d, a 2 kyu, and 1 kyu at the tournament saturday, and with each of them this idea is what kept popping up. The two kyu showed me that spliting your opponents stones to make a weak group is good, The one kyu I beat by 70 points just by using this idea, The 5d said I took to many stones lol 7 stones was to much, and then he told me the only thing keeping me from dan is life and death and postional judgement, both of my 3 kyu friends say that they have trouble beating me because what ever I want I get, but I usually don't want what is best. So My ego is boosted right now, and I should have done this earlier, but I will use it now. oh btw don't comment on my ego or rank right now I really don't give a flip what you guys might have to say(because it usually bad and based on old outdated data of my playing strength), I'm taking all the advice I got from local players, and using it in my games. I hate to be rude to all of you when really only a few of you have been unhelpful jerks. Funnily enough the 5d said he wants to find a way to help us in alabama become as strong as the atlanta Go club has.
