Hello from Chuck Thomas

Post by cthomas »

Hello everyone, nice forum you have here! Lots of people :)

In the interest of not further fragmenting the Go forums community, I've redirected traffic from http://igodojo.org to here, to life in 19x19.

I see that Brian and Joss (kirby and tealeaf) are here, thanks very much to you guys for taking charge of Dojo and volunteering your time to run it. Oh Dojo, we hardly knew ye...

Let's look forward to things getting back to normal in our new home.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for doing the honorable thing here :) Preventing fragmentation should definitely be the high priority for the time being.

Thanks for you "just get it done" effort in starting a new forum, and for supporting the consolidation of the community. If this site goes down, we know where the next incarnation can be.

By the way, I love your shop!

Very honorable of you to do this. Now, when I meet anyone who plays Go asking for equipment suggestions, I know who to recommend :D.

I find your behaviour really admirable.

I'll remember you the day I'll become 1dan (I promised myself to buy a nice set of stones this day)

Next, can you PLEASE run for public office in the U.S.? We could use that kind of attitude.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to start up the board, you've been a class act all the way. I'm sooooo glad this never got messy.

Thanks for getting the dojo up when it wasn't sure what would happen. :)

Yes, thanks Chuck, for stepping up and then stepping down, all for the good of the Go community.

The response by everyone has just been amazing. I think I could cry tears of joy!

Got to add some more to what everybody has said.

Thanks Chuck. You put a lot of work in getting some thing set up and helping us out, and then turning around and turning it off, all for the good of the community. Definitely some big kudos! :D
