If people want to pirate something, they'll pirate it. DRM or a closed platform at most gives a couple days/weeks of "security" in exchange for annoying actual paying customers.


From what I can tell, the only way to pirate these books is to use a jailbroken device both to get access to the file, and to load it on a new device. Since only a small percentage of people jailbreak iOS devices, it's quite effective protection. If you make the files easily accessible and addable, however, then the game's open.

I'm sorry, but I'm never going to view a user friendly and moddable ecosystem as a bug. I enjoy actually using my software, and would sooner chew off my own face then get a system where I don't have root access.

Now that I have read the book, I feel like I met an old friend. I think I have the game more or less memorized and also got to know much of the background. But I never seen that thorough commentary or historical details.

It's very enjoyable reading a book full of new comments on a game you know very well.
