Book on invasion and reduction
Hey, I wonder if anyone knows a good book, which deals with invasion and reduction points (+ some variations) out of certain shapes? Like the enclosure with an extension (Chinese Fuseki).
I dither between "Vital Points and Skillful Finesse for Sabaki" by Yoda Norimoto, "Reducing Territorial Frameworks" by Fujisawa Shuko and "Keshi and Uchikomi: Reduction and Invasion in Go" by Iwamoto Kaoru.
Any suggestions?
post scriptum: I don't consider the Get-Strong-Series because I don't want a problem book but a theory book with variations and ideas.

You may also want to consider Get Strong at Invasion, for just a problem book.
Someday I want to be strong enough to earn KGS[-].

No problem, I guess I had an itchy trigger finger on that response. I haven't read any of those, so I'm interested to hear recommendations.

Re: Book on invasion and reduction
I have Keshi and Uchikomi. It's pretty difficult for me; I've heard others describe it as a dan level book. I've gotten a stone or two stronger since the last time I tried to read it, so I might give it another try and see if I can make more sense of it. I've heard Reducing Territorial Frameworks is easier, but I have not looked at it myself.

Re: Book on invasion and reduction
Okay, I guess, I'll skip this one then - for now =D
So, it's:
"Vital Points and Skillful Finesse for Sabaki" by Yoda Norimoto: 0
"Reducing Territorial Frameworks" by Fujisawa Shuko: 1

Attack and Defense (Davies) discusses this subject, but it appears you're looking for something a bit more specific.

Re: Book on invasion and reduction
Reducing Territorial Frameworks is a nice reference to have. It's very dry, though, largely a dictionary of reducing "joseki". It is not hard to look up situations from your game in it and get ideas. If you use it that way rather than trying to memorize it I think it is fine for 6k.
My understanding is that Enclosure Josekis is the same idea but with invasion rather than reduction. I haven't read it, though.
Keshi and Uchikomi has a whole bunch of sequences for invading corner formations. There is interesting stuff in there but it feels a bit over my head at 4k.

Hui, I just browsed through it and your right! I had absolutely forgotten about this chapter. Hm, okay, I'll reread it before I decide on something more specific. Maybe it just fits my needs, otherwise I will just have to jump in cold water and try everything on my own =D
post scriptum: Scratch that, I'll buy "Reducing Territorial Frameworks" by Fujisawa Shuko, nontheless. Thanks all =)

Ah, okay. Thank you!
First one is now on my wishlist. The second one is sadly not available at my favourite bookstore.

Re: Book on invasion and reduction
Personally I like "Vital Points and Skillful Finesse for Sabaki" by Yoda, but I assume you have to be (near) dan-level to grasp some of it. Oh and the translation and the bookbind both suck so I guess "Reducing Territorial Frameworks" was the right choice for you
