Not to mention, on dedicated turn-based servers most active users are playing many games simultaneously. This is why when you look at a server like dragon ( I personally haven't played on OGS, but I would imagine it is similar), it will have >1000 games updated in the last few hours, as opposed to KGS which has ~500 games running at any given time. If you have 200 users logging in at a given time to update their 10 games (honestly both these numbers might be low, just going for ballpark estimation), it means quite a large number of opportunities to find games....

Very true...
But to understand this, a person needs a willingness to compromise and the ability to look outside some self-imposed box.

I've abandoned all threads. I was on vacation for the past two weeks with very little chances for internet access.

Now I don't even remember what this thread was about. The topic ("resuming games") doesn't seem to apply to the last few messages, which seem to be discussing pbem-style games.
