Posting Statistics
Is it possible to provide any sort of stats on posting frequency, number of visits, number of active members and so on over the year and a half or so that L19 has been active? (I know, it was up and running earlier, but last April was when a flood of people joined).

Re: Posting Statistics
Averaging out the entire lifespan of L19, we get about 118 posts per day. As as for as the visiting information, the forum doesn't record that. I can find average number of visits as ercorded by the webhost though, however that will not separate out unique visits, so users who make multiple visits a day will up the visit tally. As far as how active a member might be? I think if we could get dusk eagles code they wrote for the awesome giant graph about posts and what not that it would show who all the more active members are. However considering that as a member you are not obligated to log in or post yet might still browse the forum, judging who is "active" and isn't may be a bit of a grey area...
I'm thinking...

Re: Posting Statistics
Thanks much.
Any chance you could do any kind of breakdown on whether the post numbers have changed sharply over the life of the forum? That's what I mean to ask. For that reason, the number of hits by the server reports are interesting--I'm curious how traffic has changed over time moreso than knowing literally how many uniques we got.

Re: Posting Statistics
Are you more interested in posts-per-day over time or visits-per-day over time? The former is trackable if someone (could be me) wrote a bit of code to find it; but only someone with access to the server can find the latter.
We don't know who we are; we don't know where we are.
Each of us woke up one moment and here we were in the darkness.
We're nameless things with no memory; no knowledge of what went before,
No understanding of what is now, no knowledge of what will be.

Re: Posting Statistics
They're probably of equal interest, and I'd be happy to see either. I'm just asking because of a few comments that participation on the site had recently slowed down.
