Re: Wbaduk version for Linux and Mac
I never thought I'd see a native Linux client from a Korean server. I'll definitely be putting in more time to Wbaduk as a result.

Actually if we pay attention there are LOTS of websites of important media (news, tv) or simply general websites in South Korea still using ASP 3.0.
It's very good they finally got in Linux and Mac!

Re: Wbaduk version for Linux and Mac
Great news! I never thought this would happen. I'm trying to get used to the client/ new interface but it seems to have some issues: clicking 'server' makes the program crash.

Re: Wbaduk version for Linux and Mac
Awesome! I just tested it and it works on Linux
. Thanks trout.
.
If someone knows of a program to convert NGF > SGF on Mac/Linux, please let me know too! That being said, this version of their client appears to have a reduced feature set and saving your games may be one of the things they haven't implemented (yet?). It makes sense that they'd want to measure the demand before investing more time into developing it.
I haven't played any games on this new client yet, but with the Windows client (which I used to run in VirtualBox), it saved them as NGF files somewhere on your machine. You then need a program that can convert them to SGF. MultiGo can do it, but that's Windows tooJedo wrote:Anyone know how to download SGFs of played games?

They have a link for a perl program. I'd give that a shot.

This is fantastic... I love playing my faster pace games on Wbaduk because of the differing styles of play. Also, for blitz or quick games, I end up really appreciating the total anonymity of that server.

Re: Wbaduk version for Linux and Mac
I'm having a difficult time deciding whether or not I prefer the web server to running Wbaduk on WINE.
The web version is native and has a less clunky interface, plus chat is supported. However, the server button is very slow, and when I exit the client the window remains open, so I have to force quit every time. Also, the web version does not support voice-countdown byo-yomi.
Running on WINE is buggy and has a donkey interface, with a lot of buttons just not working. But actual game play is fairly good and of course, I have voice countdown. Chat is not supported.
