I didn't expect that move, i had to think alot about this board position & im not sure about move number 13 anymore, it doesn't looks like its doing to much right now;

so i came up with this move & it is aiming at putting pressure on the top left corner, so he might defend his corner, then i will move to attack the side, its still early and the top left section is still unsetteled so lets see what he will do next :study:

Ignoring shoulder hits is really bad and really painful. I feel like with those last two moves, White has lost more than a stone - possibly more.

I think I'm going to resign here. I know I'm not playing very well, so there's really no point in dragging it out. Sure it's really early, but my play this month has been utterly horrific. And with that being said, I doubt I'm going to be able to do anything amazing later on.

So, on that note, I say thank you for the game. Sorry for the short game, though, and for the fact that I haven't been making 8k level moves. At this point, my rank might as well be 11k or worse.

whatever you do, don't beat yourself up, its a process

if it was easy it wouldn't be fun

and the only way u learn to ride a bike is by falling off and trying again

i enjoyed the game, if i would change anything i would not play tengen because i don't think you have the time, besides that feel free to challenge me for a rematch

Thank you :bow:

Alright. We can have a rematch when I feel I'm mentally ready. Until then, I'm going to settle for studying more before I play again. Reviewing my games. Stuff like that. Perhaps then I can break out of this month's slump.

hailthorn011:

from the few moves played, white's tengen was a bit dubious and probably suboptimal, but no big deal in a SDK game. two bad moves were the armpit hit and ignoring the shoulder hit. if you practice the Intuition style, these are moves you should definitely omit unless proven good by reading and positional judgement

as you surely know, the board is in no way lost yet. i can understand your frustration and extrapolation how would the rest of the game would look, but i believe overcoming such feelings would be more valuable for life than any strength gained in go (at least for me, if i achieve that)
Spilling gasoline feels good.

I might be wrong, but probably not.

Well, like I said, this month has just been bad for my play in general. And I know I'm not playing very well. So I resigned. I think perhaps a day or two breather from playing would do me well for the time being. Because when I've went into games recently, I believe some part of me expects to lose. I think looking over my losses. Studying. Things like that will be more beneficial than me continuing to play terribly and lose terribly.

It's hard to enjoy something when you're not mentally into it. It's not necessarily the results that bother me. It's the fact that I KNOW I'm not playing as well as I can.
