Downloading your own games records (iPad)
Hi everyone,
although my main playing server is KGS, I have the Tygem and WBaduk apps in my iDevices, and they are "great" to play someone while slouching in the sofa. Far better than sitting in the table with my laptop (or frying my thighs with it, by the way).
So far, I only have played 2 games in each server, I'm liking Tygem better (I get automatch games faster, the games screen is clearer), but I can't find a way to download my own games. I've seen in the PC version you can do it going to the program directory, but of course in a non-jailbroken iPad this is out of the question. After finding this out with my first game there, I just took an screenshot at the end of the game of the "sequence" of movements... Like an old-time kifu (without hidden plays...). Not a perfect solution. Anyone knows where the game record may sit?
Thanks!

Have you tried Tetsuki? IGS/Pandanet has a web page to acess all of your games.

Re: Downloading your own games records (iPad)
I have the app, but have not tried. After all the fights among KGS and IGS (i.e. censorship of the fact that KGS is free and such) a long time ago, I settled not to play on IGS. But I can give a try, although Tygem is quite fun, people never give up. Today I just lost a game I was pretty sure I was winning, little by little my opponent erode my lead...

Just to clarify--are you looking to save SGF files generally, or Tygem SGFs specifically? I'm not familiar enough with Tygem, but if you can get them on your computer or access a website, you should be able to open them on a handful of apps, including SmartGo Kifu and Tetsuki (you don't even have to play on IGS
).

Re: Downloading your own games records (iPad)
There's no way to download any kind of file from Tygem, iPad version. There is no online repository of your games (web-side), and in the iPad, no way to find out which games did you play, even. So it's not a format problem, but just a problem problem

Re: Downloading your own games records (iPad)
My way to play online with the iPad is Tengen Go (IGS). It may not always be very stable but when a game is on, you can play it to the end.
You can export games played and you find opponent within the blink of an eye.
Social aspect is reduced to minimum greetings and style of play is different from KGS but the ranking system is working fine.
Based on those elements, I would recommend it.

Re: Downloading your own games records (iPad)
On my iPad I use mainly Tetsuki.
I test the 3 apps. My prefered server (for the reasons you told) is Tygem. But it's really a pain not to be able to review our games correctly. With Wbaduk it's quite difficult to find a game as you noticed. Tetsuki : IGS is not the best of the best server on the earth but, my level being very low, no problem for me to find better opponents and the client is really the most feature rich (you could store your kifus and review them on the app for example). I will test Tengen Go if this one does not get any disconnection issue (one of the big problem of Tetsuki).
It would be great if Tygem listened to the users to improve their client on iPad via a forum or sth. Not being able to look at your games afterward is really a missing feature.

You can download your game records from the tygem client on Windows, even if you played the game on your iPad. The iPad has basic features for playing, but the windows client has more functionality.

Happy New Year.
I usually don't use the pc client these days, either, since I usually fire up a VM to play.
Plus, it's so much easier to just play on the iPad...
