I have gained alot of wisdom and understanding on my game since i have been off.
Im growing (I love all this free time for GO!)
i will share what i have been doing lately
for a while i was doing: lecture/game/tsumego/game/lecture/game/tsumego/game = as a daily regime
but the day before yesterday i took out a whole day and did tsumego all day long
-tsumego is the by far best thing to do in the world to improve, i use to hate it but its crazy how i can do it all day like thisyesterday i took out a whole day to go back through the go dojo
-Hey i got a cool way to count territory and its pretty quick so im going to implement that method of quick counting in my games(its much much better re-reading fundamental books because the more you understand about go the more you get out of the book or the program)
next im going to re-read fundamental principles of go againlike i said before re reading is the greatest, i got so much more out of go dojo at 8 kyu then at 12k. hence re reading fundamentals of go just to see what i can get out of there again
im going to watch all the lectures on joseki im going to watch all the lectures on fusekiim going to watch all the lectures on attacking im so focused now and i know this is how i will reach dan level and this is my path
every since i played that game with shygost and found out how much my games lacks fundamentals i have been on fire, hitting the books and doing more tsumego
so now my thesis is a quote from the go dojo:
"the game of go is all about territory, what dominates the game and makes it all happen is Attack. Attack with profit, Attack with sente, endlessly Attack! And when you cant Attack play moves to set up Attack!
Attacking gives you free profit and keeps your opponent from causing mischief as long as he has to defend.
because Attacking is so valuable, that why it is such a emphasis on joseki on building a stable base for group to ward off Attacks."
i think my next purchase is going to be whole board thinking in joseki
just because it fits with my study theme.
lately i have been stressing my opening, because i have been getting beat out in the opening by the dan players and its motivating me to getter a better faster fuseki

.
Tsumego & Live Games are a must in my study so no need to elaborate on that.
i got a handicap strategy for every level stone now thanks to go world and the handicap lectures on internet go school.
Also im kicking off a new study blog in the study group section; where i can post whole board positions from my acutal games where i just feel stuck. I'm thinking about calling it "help im stuck". I would love it if u guys would participate too and post your "help im stuck" positions and im sure the strong players would help with solutions.
so forget talking lets do this.
shut up & do the impossible

i think jts said it best:

You know, on second thought, I think I neglected the best possible advice: stay away from Life in 19x19! If you come back here every hour or so to read our replies and acknowledge them, you'll never make it.
so with that being said i will see u again when i make 7k.
shut up and do the impossible
