The one thing I'd miss is I like the politeness of welcoming the opponent, and thanking them at the end, so I'd miss that. But no more from an escapee than a resignation. I'd rather he said thanks for the game and escaped than resigned and left without saying anything.
I would like the ability to simply remove the game from the gamelist though - leaving it hanging grates on my OCD for tying up loose ends![]()
What bothers you about being escaped on?

Unfortunately, the above describes half of my opponents on KGS who finish the game - they don't even say "thx" and just disapear.kokomi wrote:Because they don't even say ' Thank you' and just disappear.
My days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle

Re: What bothers you about being escaped on?
Is there really a difference between saying "thx" and nothing at all?
A good system naturally covers all corner cases without further effort.

there are people who care, so i do it.Harleqin wrote:Is there really a difference between saying "thx" and nothing at all?
if you think it doesnt mean anything you can try like: "it was a nice game, thank you for playing"
same meaning behind but even better

You may perhaps see how I meant the question when I tell you that I usually write "thank you".nami wrote:There are people who care, so I do it.Harleqin wrote:Is there really a difference between saying "thx" and nothing at all?

never did that, never ask undo even misclick unless in teachingHelel wrote:Are you really sure they talk about the game as a whole...kokomi wrote:A bitHarleqin wrote:Is there really a difference between saying "thx" and nothing at all?
but worse is when i say 'thank you' they reply 'no problem'when it's just a normal game, not a teaching or anything i ask my opponent to do me a favor.
Maybe you reconnected or went away for a couple of minutes or was allowed to take back a move...
Or maybe they thought your game was so below standards that they simply thought you thanked them for putting up with you...
Plus, i don't think to say 'thank you' is such a difficult thing.
