The Koreans have also got themselves a new youngest female pro - Ch'oe Cheong at age 13 years 7 months. Meanwhile Yun Ch'un-ho has just become the second ancient Korean to qualify as pro via the Kansai Ki-in test games at the age of nearly 30. The lassies appear to have found something about go the lads have missed.

It's a good accomplishment, despite my previous arguing on SL :)

I'm glad to see the progression of female go.

I don't think it's necessary to start another argument, and I wiil not participate if this devolves into one.

The point is, Fujisawa Rina's accomplishment is a great one. I'm going to leave it at that.

I lack the language skills to follow her performance in inofficial matches... but I read somewhere (the english nihon kiin newsletter) that she lost her new shodan series match against Cho Chikun and won a game against a fellow 1d who turned pro last year (and another game against an insei) for the nakano cup. We will see how she will play in the official matches...

Has someone kifus?
