Friend snapped it yesterday, so I guess I can't claim not to have one. Between teaching, livestream, and skype, that thing is on my head just about whenever I'm at the computer.

If Go is too complicated, you're probably forgetting the basics.

I had been looking for a while to add this picture at senseis: GoInExtremePlaces
Hope you don't mind me linking it there.

That reminded me of an earlier picture on the Wall.

That is me building the retreat in our back yard. It is 12 ft x 30 ft, two stories at one end, a single story at the other. ( We are on a hill side and the ground slopes steeply at the edge of our property ) I built the floor about 4 years ago, and we draped fabric across the top to create a tent-like structure to host our wedding reception. It has sat for several years, now I am getting around to putting a roof on it.

For those of you who say that Joaz needs his head examined, rest assured that it is being done. This is me just after an EEG with all the electrodes still in place.

This is me, Thomas Rohde (but I prefer “Tom”), 13k, Bispingen, Northern Germany (in the “Lüneburger Heide” (Luneburg Heath) 60 km south of Hamburg, I live there where other people go for vacation)

This is “Tom in Germany” aka Bonobo (forums) aka trohde (Go servers)

:D Thanks, NO surprise actually: kinship! And it’s intention that I use this avatar. There’s only about 1.8% genetic difference between us and the Bonobo, IIRC, that’s 0.4% less than with the Chimpanzee (again IIRC), and I wish we’d learn from the social behaviour of the Bonobo, who solves conflicts by playing, cuddling, and sex instead of going to war.
I appreciate if ppl recognize the similitude :-)

Every month, my job-related go friends gather at a Chinese restaurant in Tokyo, and we play go while eating Chinese dishes.
For your information, every one of us is Japanese.
The owner knows go and is kind enough to let us play.
The intresting part of this picture is that the table is a half of a round table.
