Re: Bonobo defamation
Thank you, Aidoneus 8-(*) I’ll have to share this wide and far.
(IIRC they (Susan Block & Co., not the Bonobos
) once wanted to purchase my domain name over a decade ago … but since I had already had it for over ten years then, I couldn’t let go of it.)
Cordial greetings from ape to ape,
Tom

Re: Bonobo defamation
Somewhere, deep in the heart of the jungle where ATVs, helicopters and disposable plastic water bottles have yet to reach, these pacific primates live out their lives.
I remember watching documentaries on orangutans, chimpanzees and other legendary primates (Jane Goodall et al.) and it is my belief that they enjoy peace, society, sensuality and fun with no need to commute, pay mortgages or taxes, defend litigation or go to war. All they need to do is invent skis and Go and they will have achieved Utopia!
I pass through Waterloo station twice a day and am subjected to enormous, flashing advertisements for this blockbuster - they serve only to offend. I haven't seen the movie or read reviews about it (until this link, today) but the concept of large-apes-with-guns strikes me as crass, cheap and sensational before anyone even asks whether defaming the species is responsible or not.

What an excellent way to describe most world leaders.Charlie wrote:Somewhere, deep in the heart of the jungle where ATVs, helicopters and disposable plastic water bottles have yet to reach, these pacific primates live out their lives.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).
