Please explain what you mean by stone counting. All I know of is territory and area counting.
Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Please explain what you mean by stone counting.

You count the stones on the board. Whoever has the most at the end of the game wins.
In this example it should be equivalent to area and probably also territory scoring, but I was too lazy to keep track of prisoners in the variations.

So by stone counting you mean [sl=StoneScoring]Stone Scoring[/sl] not [sl=StoneCounting]Stone Counting[/sl]? ;-) (though perhaps no difference on this board?)

@emeraldemon
what if white passes with 3 and claims it's a seki with both groups in atari, since black has a bent4 in the corner if he captures?

If :w3: captures, :b4: on tengen kills, so White passes.

Strange seki. If :b8: captures, :w9: at 5 leads to a win by White, so Black passes. If now :w9: captures, :b10: on tengen kills, so White passes.

Result: B +4
