AI Go Interview Request

Post by Tobi_4 »

Hello,
I am 8 kyu AGA and new to this forum.
I am a first year university student and I am researching former and/or current obstacles in artificial intelligence programming in Go, primarily on life and death, ladders, and territory/influence recognition.

I was suggested this forum to find experienced Go AI programmers and I would like to conduct an interview from this site for this research.

I would like to get first and last name for citation.
If email is preferred, I can be contacted at abarreal@masonlive.gmu.edu

You may find the computer go mailing list of some value. :)

I can put you in touch with some programmers, but they mostly don't use this forum. The only one that I know that sometimes posts here is pasky, but it's pretty rare.

Remi Coulom (author of Crazystone, one of the top programs) posts here sometimes (recently about his whole history rating site), but I would consider it courteous to do some investigation of your own of already published material (e.g. academic papers, computer go mailing list archives, reading pachi (open source bot) source code/docs, or even wikipedia) before asking experts in the field with limited time to feed you the answers.
