Who is Oeda from "1971 Honinbo Tournament"

Hi,

Currently I'm reading 1971 Honinbo and the first chapter is Ishida vs "Oeda". Do you know if this is Oeda Yusuke (9-dan), mentor of Michael Redmond... or is this another Oeda? The book only gives one name, and google is not helping me either.
