In an exhibition game, Taiwanese AI CGI was beaten by Ma Xiaochun 9-dan in a very unusual situation. Note that CGI is quite strong now. I haven't seen too many of its games but it was said to have beaten Ke Jie twice recently. However in this game, Ma 9-dan used a special live-death problem to trick it:
CGI apparently did understand the shape at move 204 quite well. Ma prepared for that attack by strengthening his nearby stones. When the attack really happened, CGI for some reason did not even play out the ko fight - the whole group was killed.

Re: AI tricked by humanbeing
I've always thought that Ma at his peak could compete with Go Seigen at his peak. Only Ma's peak didn't last do long.
Nothing that I have for factual argument, being a mere low dan. Just a feeling from reviewing his games back then.
And he sure knows how to play exhibition go!

"Delusions" are a real problem for go AI systems. AlphaGo had similar issues.
Heck, I have similar issues
