Gnu Go is not a good engine to learn from. The moves are too chaotic and I think it is bad example for learners. If you are using android I would recommend the following app. You have to pay a small amount for the full version but it is well worth the money. The playing strength - 3d is respectable, and the play style is very solid, great to learn from.
