The 2nd edition of the CITIC Securities World AI Open Tournament is underway in China. The 1st edition was this time last year and featured CGI as the surprise leader after the prelims and was won by DeepZen, with the favourite FineArt only placing 3rd. Looks like FineArt isn't playing this time (having just dominated the recent Tencent (its creators) AI tournament), but Golaxy and Elf and AQ are there. LeelaZero isn't there by bijyxo (guy who trained the 20b/ 40b network and part of team Tencent event) and from the github it seems there were some shenanigans and some breakaway group going as "Super Leela".
Octopus beat Elf to get 3rd, the (best of 7?) final is Golaxy vs AQ. Appears Golaxy won games 1 and 3 as white by resign, AQ won game 2 as white by 0.5 so seems AQ getting stronger.
Update: Golaxy won game 4 as black by resign with a big kill after a patient double attack.

Re: 2nd World AI Open Tournament
I happened to be there on the first day, I posted some pictures of the event in this other thread.
