my Japanese is EXTREMELY limited, and anything that goes outside of XYZ won vs ABC is pretty much out of reach for me. That's why I heavily rely on (mostly crappy) machine translation on Twitter. However, this tweet sparked my interest:

Are they REALLY making a new version of our beloved Hikaru no Go with real actors..? Can't quite believe it, although they've done it/are doing that for a few animated series already, all of them being great classics, though (as far as I know) - but now Hikaru, too..? Don't get me wrong, it could be awesome and maybe create a new wave of players, but at first it sounds a bit unbelievable.
I hope someone with better Japanese knowledge can shed some light on it, thanks in advance for that!

This is an old article from May. Basically, it seemed there was some talk of doing a net show in China based on Hikaru no Go. I'm guessing it didn't go anywhere, but who knows.
