L19 Meetup @ 2019 US Go Congress
Yes its on the schedule. Yes it will happen. Maybe I'll make a sign beforehand.
Tuesday night in the Main Playing Space we'll have an area set aside to meetup with all y'all. Come meet with other online personalities from L19, Reddit, OGS, and KGS. We'll welcome all from 7-9PM. I hope to see you there!

Re: L19 Meetup @ US Go Congress
Hope you all have a good time and that someone will post a brief recap for the rest of us. Rumor from last year that 2020 will be in Colorado. If there is an official announcement, like to know.

Why is Eric Lui the only AGA pro, who plays the Masters at this congress?

One of these years... one of these years I'll finally make it!
Next year Colorado, you say? Hmmm... that's definitely getting it much closer to my neck of the woods.
Hope all who are there are having lots of fun.

Re: L19 Meetup @ 2019 US Go Congress
Thanks, Ed!
Focused on the board, but not on the opening ceremony - haha. I have no idea what Andy was saying. At least I won that game!
In the open, I haven’t been as successful. I kind of suspected it, since I didn’t study enough before the go congress.
Right now, I am 2-2. I lost to Brady by 1/2 point (ok, I got lucky), and to Nick Sibicky in a complicated (to me at least) capturing race. I have been joking with folks that I am weak against YouTubers.
We’ll see if I lose any more. My 5th game starts in 3 hours.

Re: L19 Meetup @ 2019 US Go Congress
That's me diagonally across from Kirby, playing In-seong (I... did not win my game).
I'm 2-2 so far myself, with some luck both good and bad. I'm having a lot of fun like last time, seeing some friends again from last year and some friends for the first time (like Kirby!). The city is great and I'm spending a large fraction of my off time on the terrace overlooking Lake Mendota with a beer in one hand and 1001L&D in the other. The Congress is both energizing and exhausting and I'm having a lot of fun.
