Go Stones Never Age
I am proud to announce the availability of a new book for Western Go enthusiasts.
Go Seigen: "The best way for amateurs to learn how to become stronger is to improve their sense of fuseki, to develop their reading skills, and to have a clear understanding of life and death. This ability to read and understand life-and-death can be improved by memorizing the shapes of tsumego (alive, dead, and unconditional). This is a great advantage in short games such as tournaments, and can bring you closer to the top class of amateurs."

Re: Go Seigen Tsumego Collection
This is a bit cryptic.
I guess you're referring to http://www.boardnstones.com/09-All_Titl ... BNS007.php . Is it a book of tsumego problems? Is it a translation of a Japanese book, or an original work in English?

Re: Go Seigen Tsumego Collection
It appears to be a translation of the tsumego collection 寿石不老: 呉清源詰碁集, published in 1995.
I too wish that this information were made more clear.
I own several Board N'Stones books and they are quite well done, so I'm glad to see them continue to appear.

Thank you for helping out. I will take more care next time.dfan wrote:It appears to be a translation of the tsumego collection 寿石不老: 呉清源詰碁集, published in 1995.

I thought these books (there are in fact two of which one is translated into English so far) are pretty much known in the west. And to be less cryptic this time: the second volume is scheduled for publication in English for the first quarter 2024.
Happy to hear that! Thank you.I own several Board N'Stones books and they are quite well done, so I'm glad to see them continue to appear.
