Easter surprise

Post by daal »

My daughter installed a go program on her phone as an Easter surprise for me. If I'm lucky, she might even let me play it (and if I'm really lucky, she'll play it herself). :)

It is Go Free from AIfactory ( https://market.android.com/details?id=u ... ory.gofree )It has a nice looking board and stones and a pleasant green background. You can play against the computer (there are 10 levels) or play a two person game. The free version has a limit of 60 moves on the 19x19 board, but no limits on a 13x13 or 9x9 board. And we actually played a game this morning. She took 9 stones on the 13x13 board and trounced me :)

Sounds like a bright future in front of you ;-)

Maybe I will install it on the Android of my "better half" to get her playing - it will probably end up in a kind of cellphone user rights-discussion... :blackeye:

Another nice Go App for playing against your phone is GoDroid -- it is free for playing full 19x19 games. Link: https://market.android.com/details?id=de.agrothe.go
