Montgomery Go Association
After some hard work, and loads of dedication we have officially started a club. I paid the aga a few days ago to make this an official chapter. We have eight people, seven of which will be regulars. our first meeting is june 18th and we will meet every two weeks on saturday. I can't announce the location publicly, but if you want to come P.M. me. We are going to change location every other meeting to keep it fresh. We held our first tournament on may 28th, and our next tournament will be in july. Thank you for reading.

He didn't explicitly mention the state, but if you look at the info under his avatar it's not difficult to know which Montgomery…

Re: Montgomery Go Association
Glad to hear you have a little momentum, but I think regularly changing your location can have a bad effect on participation. Some people will pay attention and drive across town to go to a club, others will only show up if it's convenient to where they work/hang out/shop. So you might lose some people who show up once or twice but then decide it's not worth the hassle.balmung wrote:I can't announce the location publicly, but if you want to come P.M. me. Holding occasional events in different locations is probably a good way to find people curious about the game. That's especially true if you find places that are visible and have lots of foot traffic.
