Hi all. I've been interested (and wondered) in go for many years but without effective time to play and learn. Now things have changed, and although I'm still a newbie, I want to dedicate this game consistently. Hope to see you on the IGS, and I want to congratulate you all for this great forum.

Hi and welcome,
I just wonder why you prefer IGS over KGS. As a beginner IGS is much tougher, you will get creamed even in the beginner class. On KGS it is much easier to find people of beginner strength. Besides, most of us have an account on KGS (look out for the Lifein19x19 room).

I have an IGS account for no special reason. Quite simply, I have it unused since many years. But if you recommend me KGS, I'll open an account there. Thank you for the advice.
