indicating read topics
The topics that already read are indicated by the grey blue color in the topics list. Sometimes I click on the last post to read from there. In that case the topic is not grey blued. I prefer it would.

This is more a function of how browsers work. It greys it because you've visited that link. When you click on the last post to read from there, you're actually loading up a different link - thus no greying out. If you look closely, you'll see that the page number is actually greyed (if you click on one of them).
Usually when I do the same thing, I'll go back and click the main link just to grey it out. That's how I deal with it.
