Go Game Store

Post by Coyote »

Has anyone shopped there?

Prices seem really good for bamboo boards, stones, etc.

I wonder what shipping is like to Canada.

I bought two bamboo folding boards (one for a friend) and one carrying bag from them recently.

Considering the price, it wasn't bad. The boards have etched lines and burned-in hoshi. They are somewhat rough and unfinished on the sides and back.

(If you get the folding board, prepare to buy some rubber feet or bumpers to add to the bottom, because the wimpy little foam discs on there are not thick enough to keep the hinge from scratching the table. After the purchase of a package of bumpers from Home Depot, I am content with the board.)

The Go Game Bag traveling bag is very nice.

They took over a week before they responded to my order (to be fair, they were in the middle of a website update, and I wasn't supposed to be able to order!) and another week or so before they shipped, but when they did, I was given a tracking number, which is always nice. Shipping was SAL. They charge a flat fee for shipping, don't know if there would be a difference for Canada.

I would be willing to buy from them again.
