Are Jade Luster stones supposed to be translucent?

Are Jade Luster stones supposed to be translucent?

I just got my set delivered to me today and I am quite surprised how transparent they are compared to regular Yunzi. I can see right through to the intersections when I place the 'white stones' on my board. The jade luster are not nearly as cloudy I had expected like regular yunzi. Is it supposed to be like that?

Are they from YMI? Mine are opaque.
