Getting back into the game?

So I stopped playing go for a number of months. I can't even remember why. I want to get back into the game, but I keep messing up in games and getting put off.

Advice on getting back into the game?

Play friendly games with people you won't mind making grievous errors against and do tsumego to repair the damage done to your reading.

I remember being quite happy with my level and how it progressed before I stopped. I think I had something come up which meant I didn't have time to play for a few weeks, and then I wasn't at the same level because of the break, so I didn't make it a priority and did other things for a while.

Good question: I am 1d-KGS now. If I stop playing now, how and in which time would I decrease. After 1 year 3k? After 2 years 5k? After 30 years 30k?
