How do I censor guests permanently?

I'm sick of annoying guests but every time I censor them, they just log out and back in. The censorship will then disappears. Is there a way to stop that from happening ?

Censor guests seems to be a reasonable functionality. If people want to engage in chat, they can make an account.

Nah. Think how that would discourage curious newbies confused about the interface.

Then restrict chat to a newbie FAQ room.

I don't think so, the helpful folks would keep the "censor guests" feature disabled.

If anything, it would improve the new user experience, since they wouldn't have to deal with the bulk of the community at the outset.

You're expecting newbies confused about the interface to be able to join and switch between rooms? ;)

Auto-login for guests should dump them in a newbie room.

Shoot, you're right. Now back to fruitful discussions about the proper interpretation of ranks, and area vs. territory scoring ;-)
