You may want to look at this response, it's pretty common where that cut is annoying for Black.

It is nice to balance progress with fuzzy feeling of winning games.Boidhre wrote:Sure, but you want to be playing even against better opponents yes?MrHeisenberg wrote:I wish my opponent would not know that

( Diagrams rotated for space.)
In the above variation,
keima is strange. A first feeling is hane outside:
This is a natural follow-up to the cap of
, which tries to block W from going toward the center.
But if B tenuki with the keima
in your Variation A, then a first feeling for W, once again, is the outside hane
:
In your Variation A, the
jump is also strange, because it leaves a weakness which W promptly exploits with the push
, and B ends up with 2 cuts at (x) and (y):
If B simply replies with
, then W still has to deal with the cut (z):
Another first feeling is the inside hane
, W cuts with
, and a fight starts -- again, it depends on the whole board:
Without a whole board, it may not be easy to decide how to attack W. However...MrHeisenberg wrote:

Keima is no good
Diagonal is better for W, still it is unfavorable.

Why
again?
Sorry, I mean is there some area that Black is trying to surround on the bottom?

The question is if you can attack which depends on the rest of the board.MrHeisenberg wrote:I find knight`s move efficient in attacking

Re: Heisenberg`s blog. One kuy improvement every other month
The knight move is good for attacking, but the attack must have some purpose. In general, the purpose is not to capture, but rather to force your opponent to run, allowing you to make thickness or territory in the process. In this case, the direction of play matters. For example, a few plausible attacks are shown below. On an empty board, it is hard to say which of these attacks is best. Even though attacking for its own sake may feel good, it is often best to leave a position like this alone, until a preferred direction can be chosen.

Nice thoughts.
I shall replay these moves
Terrible game.
Lesson - to never play in a hurry.
