Re: How strong are you now?
I'm not certain, but I think I was ~3k when I started posting on GoDiscussions (toward the tail end of its life). I had been lurking for a lot longer though. I'm 1d now, so that's 4 stones improvement.
My improvement rate was much faster from 12k to 3k, but I guess it makes sense that it would slow down.

We don't know who we are; we don't know where we are.
Each of us woke up one moment and here we were in the darkness.
We're nameless things with no memory; no knowledge of what went before,
No understanding of what is now, no knowledge of what will be.

Was 6k KGS/5k AGA when I joined GD, now 4d KGS/5.7d AGA...haven't improved at all in the last 1 - 2 years though...SC2 isn't helping with that either, but oh well.

15k to 5k, and now back to 7k. So I improved 10 stones, and then lost 2. :O

Re: How strong are you now?
I became 8k on KGS the same day I joined L19 (28th Apr 2010). Now I think I'm 4k there, so 4 stones.

maybe time for some (Go) lessons about counting. This might easily get you to the 4 stones

Re: How strong are you now?
I joined GD in april 2006, and entered a tournament at 2 kyu two days later. Today I am 1 dan, and improving very slowly if at all.

from 1k to 1d you may count 2 stones
If you say no, Elwood and I will come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week.

Nice! Well, in that case, I have gained exactly 2 stones since joining GoDiscussions
