Does your spelling indicate that you know that this is a bad argument? Either the move has merit or it doesn't. If you think MW would play it, stretch your mind to discover why.

In a handicap game, you a) can't afford to become seriously heavy, and b) can't afford to develop too slowly. Probes and caps disrupting the board on a global scope greatly increase the chance for instigating favourable weak group fights and sacrificing single stones for thickness, both of which are key tools for the stronger player to remove the handicap advantage. i am thinking that you think too much :)
what you said make sense and probably is true but i dont think too hard when i play go.

here is a list of thought in my brain:
a: kirby played tengent last game and i hated it, so i am playing the middle first.
b: i am sure he never had that opening...it might rattle his emotion.
c: i love influence game.

i will try to discuss something that i only hear from korean professionals.
term: "not easy to answer"
it doesnt really mean that you are in trouble. it is like all your answer is awkward and dont have good flow.

whenever i play go i try to force my opponent in that situation.
and try to avoid myself into that situation.

i believe kirby's next move is exactly "not easy to answer"

his two stone is sort of surrounded and i dont see any one move that will stablize himself.

Nice comment. I really appreciate the articulation of these types of concepts from stronger players. It gives me hope that one day I might actually understand whether or not a move is good.

I think that it is necessary to keep white separated. It's as easy as that, I suppose. I did some reading, and I think it's necessary to play this way. I have not thought of a better move (I guess I'll refrain from saying, "I cannot think of a better move"... :-)).

Sometimes I feel like I can see the future situations - but don't always pick the right one.

Yes, good point. The reason I don't like the move is because of the weak connection, as I mentioned. It may be a bad move at the moment, but I don't feel good about this:

It's bad shape for white, but I don't like giving white this kind of option...

That said, it does seem like a Magicwand-ish move... But I guess most capping plays do.

But it is hard to do this. First, they are on the 4th line; it is easy for Magicwand to invade and get territory.

Second, they are not putting forth that much influence after white plays here:

No point in hiding the comment since the game has progressed beyond this idea, but I see no urgency for black to play near :w1: at all. (Although I think Kirby's move is fine if you do.) White doesn't have a local follow-up that is sensible. If white tries to choose a move to make :w1: work well, that's information that can be used for black to choose a suitable follow-up that makes it not so good. My strategy in such games as black is to put the burden on white to make his own moves make sense. I like this :b2:, but black could still choose 'a' instead like in the last game if he wants white to break the symmetry. I suppose it's just a different psychology.

White links up so maybe this is unacceptable, but white doesn't really get that much and black does get sente...

That looks intolerable to my eyes. Letting white capture those cutting stones makes his group nearly invincible and with influence on both sides of the board.

Are you serious? If white links up, these will be the consequences:
  • The marked black stones are effectively dead (since they do not cut anything now)
  • White becomes extremely strong in the center.
  • As a consequence of that, both the black stones in the left bottom as well as on the right side start looking vulnerable.
  • :b1: is now too close to white's thickness.
