I personally find this game ridiculous. I am very interested to see it progress.

I don't know if this should be hidden (all but Kirby can read, I suppose)...
I think MW's strategy is very psychological -- play unusual moves and outread the weaker opponent in the unfamiliar position.

I tend to think that many moves are asking questions and seeing how the opponent responds. You want a good answer to any of their answers, but you want to ask them difficult questions and take advantage when their answer isn't correct.

to bad fur me, but I feel too weake with that kinda connectoin (a & b).

jumping out just 1 space seems ok, but then he can switch to attack my stone on the left.

why not set his stone in motion first (he may ignore)???

Does your spelling indicate that you know that this is a bad argument? Either the move has merit or it doesn't. If you think MW would play it, stretch your mind to discover why.

I'm not at all sure that this is unreasonable in a handicap game at all. The majority of mine against sevis have been probes too. In a handicap game, you a) can't afford to become seriously heavy, and b) can't afford to develop too slowly. Probes and caps disrupting the board on a global scope greatly increase the chance for instigating favourable weak group fights and sacrificing single stones for thickness, both of which are key tools for the stronger player to remove the handicap advantage. Magicwand?

i am thinking that you think too much :)
what you said make sense and probably is true but i dont think too hard when i play go.

here is a list of thought in my brain:
a: kirby played tengent last game and i hated it, so i am playing the middle first.
b: i am sure he never had that opening...it might rattle his emotion.
c: i love influence game.

i will try to discuss something that i only hear from korean professionals.
term: "not easy to answer"
it doesnt really mean that you are in trouble. it is like all your answer is awkward and dont have good flow.

whenever i play go i try to force my opponent in that situation.
and try to avoid myself into that situation.

i believe kirby's next move is exactly "not easy to answer"

his two stone is sort of surrounded and i dont see any one move that will stablize himself.

Nice comment. I really appreciate the articulation of these types of concepts from stronger players. It gives me hope that one day I might actually understand whether or not a move is good.

I think that it is necessary to keep white separated. It's as easy as that, I suppose. I did some reading, and I think it's necessary to play this way. I have not thought of a better move (I guess I'll refrain from saying, "I cannot think of a better move"... :-)).

Sometimes I feel like I can see the future situations - but don't always pick the right one.

I guess that means that I need to read further down the line that I am currently. See the situations and then the situations that result.

Yes, good point. The reason I don't like the move is because of the weak connection, as I mentioned. It may be a bad move at the moment, but I don't feel good about this:

It's bad shape for white, but I don't like giving white this kind of option...

That said, it does seem like a Magicwand-ish move... But I guess most capping plays do.
