This seems a bad example since the tsumego are ripped from a computer program. You can't really be sure what order or intent the author had in putting those together. It's better to get some tsumego books instead.
I do have books. I have the both the Lee Changho Life and Death and Tesuji series and I have 5 Japanese books (two of them being from the nihon kiin dan level series). I've worked through them all multiple times except for the problems which are too hard for me to solve and the ones from the nihon kiin dan level series since I just got those a couple days ago.
I actually knew that the problems in the Cho Chikun problem set were from a computer program, I only gave that as an example since that's what I'm currently working through. I'm getting close to finishing it though so I'll be able to move on to my new books soon.
If you have new books, you should just skip the L&D encyclopedia. You can always come back to it and be miserable once you have looked at the new ones.
